Ah, if I found that a compelling argument I'd not be smoking myself Smile ...anyway, with all these "live longer" things they go on at you to do these days they fail to take into account that doing them makes life less enjoyable. Missing out on the pleasures of smoking, spending hours doing tedious boring things called "exercise", eating yucky rabbit food instead of nice tasty stuff... Besides, they don't work. You live as long as you need to and when your time comes it comes; whether or not you smoke/exercise/eat rabbit food has no effect on whether you've fulfilled your cosmic purpose. (man. Hippy) Yes, maybe this is an unscientific belief, but for all the value I attach to it I nevertheless don't think science is the whole of knowledge Smile

/clap. My thoughts exactly.

I remember once, back when smoking was allowed in the workplace. I went to an office to do some maintenance on our software and asked permission to smoke, being a polite bastard and all. They gave it to me, but an elderly gal told me in a condescending manner: "You know? 60% of smokers die an early and painful death."

I took a drag and replied: "You know? 100% of people die. That's the only statistic I'll ever believe."

She didn't tell me a word for the rest of the day. And that was good.
