Possibly... but no guarantees Smile

Please copy and paste the exact error message you are getting, plus the exact text of whatever messagelabs sent you. Without exact information I'm shooting in the dark...

Ok thank you this is what it says.

The following message to <nutsmagazine@ipcmedia.co.uk> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 553-'you are trying to use me [server-3.tower-150.messagelabs\n.com] as a relay, but I have not been configured to let\nyou [212.74.100.48, mk-filter-1-a-2.mail.uk.tiscali.com]\n do this. Please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for\nmore details about this error message and instructions\nto resolve this issue. (#5.7.1)'

and this is what messagelabs told me

The reason why these emails are failing is due to the recipient domain
pointing their MX records to our services, while they are not customers
of our services. Unfortunately this is not an issue that MessageLabs can
resolve, as this is solely managed by a domain's DNS provider. The best
course of action is reach out to the recipient and advise them of this
issue, in order to resolve it.

hope thats what you need to know Smile

That's very odd, because IPC are a user of messagelabs. My emails to Nuts go through messagelabs no problem... replies come back through messagelabs with equal lack of problem. Therefore, yours ought to as well...

The MX record is a value in a public database called DNS, which tells email programs where to send emails. The MX record for ipcmedia does indeed point to messagelabs... but this is correct, since they are a customer.

It looks like despite what they've told you, it probably is the fault of messagelabs. Looks like the combination of Tiscali and ipcmedia is confusing the messagelabs mail system for some reason... Let me have a poke around and see what I can find out.

Solved Big Smile

The @ipcmedia.co.uk address is out of date. Try @ipcmedia.com instead... in fact it's always been .com, I think you're getting mixed up with the letters@nutsmag.co.uk address.

Should have spotted this straight away, but I haven't emailed them myself for ages...

Why do you want to e-mail nuts so badly? Is there a hidden benefit that I'm unaware of?
